SRN Final Conference in Bristol

The SRN Network held it's final SRN Conference on Tuesday the 26th and Wednesday the 27th June 2007.
Bristol City Council, the Lead Partner in the SRN Europe network hosted this conference to disseminate the findings of the SRN Europe partnership at venues in Bristol.
The Network also lauched it's Good Practice Guide, which draws upon our shared experiences of successful projects and processes of funding on a sub-regional level. These events demonstrated how funding on a sub-regional level can be managed, funded and structured in a succesful way.
The Main Event, a high-profile conference day on the 26th with speakers from the committe of the Regions and the Department for Communities and Local Government in the UK, amongst others addressed a number of themes regarding the delivery of funds at a Sub-Regional level.
On the second day of the event, a morning of visits to sites where regeneration has been carried out in the Bristol area was organised, taking in projects such as: Circomedia, Children's Scrapstore, the Beacon Centre and Silai for Skills.
